I currently spend a lot of time on Conduit, a Matrix homeserver written with Rust: https://conduit.rs

Matrix is a secure, private, decentralized, open source messaging platform. Check out https://matrix.org and https://element.io

My goal is to create a Matrix server that's easy to set up, works on cheap machines like the Raspberry Pi and has good performance. Your friends, family or company can profit from Matrix's end-to-end encryption and other features without depending on someone else's hardware, which makes it even more private and secure.
