🕺 Hi! My name is Manuel Wolff, I'm the administrator of the two facebook groups "Improvisational theatre - group for players worldwide" and "Stand-up Comedy: group for comedians worldwide".

The Improvational theatre group started as a small project in 2011 now is the biggest improv related group worldwide with way ober 16k members and the Stand-up Comedy group is also starting to grow. My goal is to create a places on the web, where a global and diverse community with a common interest in either improvisational theatre or stand-up comedy has a place to exchange ideas, thoughts, opinions and has tons of fun.

While it has sometimes been very difficult to figure out the exact handling of huge facebook groups, my aim is to spend lots of time, thoughts and efforts on making the group worthwhile to everyone. I have tons of ideas, and I enjoy your ideas and feedback.

Currently I try to create some weekly threads, to make the groups more fun to read and participate in and try to get more engagement . Also, my goal is to show stuff from all around the world and make sure the group doesn't become to US-centric and more diverse.

Setting up a facebook group looks easy, but once it becomes big, it needs lots of work to make it an enjoyable place for everyone without ruining the fun. But it's not just a little tip you can leave, starting at 1cent a week (suggestion though: how abour 25cents a week?) - I also need your suggestions and ideas and feedback.

ABOUT ME: I currently live in Cologne, Germany. I've written my masters thesis about "music in improvisational theater" in 2001 in Hamurg, Germany and taught regular and musical improv classes and workshops all around central europe and at festivals.
