My goal is to create the best educational resource from a complete gumby (novice) in the gym to multipitch trad climber. Whether you want to learn to tie in or how to climb efficiently on big objectives, Gumby's Guides wants to create the best resource anywhere to learn what you need to know to further your climbing.
The primary features of the website and app are:
- An educational library that will become quite extensive.
- Guidebooks that contain far more information than a typical guidebook and which are of more use to newer climbers
- A dictionary so you can finally learn what people mean when they say that jingus big bro placement ripped out of that bomb bay chimney
- Open source and free! That means that if you want to contribute, you can!
And finally, contributions to this project will also go towards new route development (of primarily well bolted moderate sport climbs) and of route maintenance in the Northern California region.
