We are a fundamental rights NGO with a focus on privacy and freedom of speech in the internet. Formerly known as Working Group on Data Retention Austria (AKVorrat) the organisation was plaintiff in the CJEU 2014 proceedings that lead to the abolishment of the Data Retention Directive. It was central in the political debate for Net Neutrality protections in the EU with the campaign SaveTheInternet.eu. The work of the organisation to protect fundamental rights online and offline is closely following the national and EU legislative process, while empowering citizens to make their voices heard.
